FAMILY PLANNING CARE

The practice holds a designated Family Planning Clinic, providing a comprehensive, confidential family planning service including:

Pregnancy Testing with on-the-spot results
Condom distribution
Prescribing of oral contraception (the pill)
Fitting of caps
Fitting of coils
Giving contraception by injection
Prescribing Emergency Contraception – please arrange to see a doctor as soon as possible if you require this.

Both doctors provide family planning advice/care during consultations and Dr Asha Kapoor has a special interest in family planning. This service is available to anyone – you do not have to be registered with the Practice.

Condom Distribution Scheme

We offer a free and confidential condom distribution service to young people of all ages. Condoms are provided free and available to both males and females following initial assessment from a trained project worker. Information and leaflets on condom usage are also provided. This service is available to anyone – you do not have to be registered with the Practice.
