The view north along the promenade has been greatly improved, indeed transformed. The old, low sandstone wall and metre-high pillars have given way to tasteful seafront furniture and lighting. Disabled visitors have been catered for and now have musch better access to the promenade below. Harbour lads and lasses who now live elsewhere will undoubtedly be impressed.
