The picture was taken towards the eastern end of the road which sweeps down to the coast from the A19 Trunk Road. The views as the raod appraoches the sea are still marred by roadworks but will be stunning when the work is completed.
The raod sign shows the entrance from the approaching roundabout into the commercial developments. The land was formerly the site of Dawdon's deep coal mine.
