Meals are provided In the dining room at 8.00 a.m., 12.30 and 6 p.m. and beverages & snacks are taken to the residents at approx. 10.30 a.m., 3.30 p.m. and 9.00 p.m.

Our Cooks provide home cooking and try to cater to all tastes.

They are trained to provide nourishing balanced meals with attention to special diets.

All have Food Handling Certificates as required by the Department of the Environment.

Refreshments for residents and visitors are available in the dining room throughout the day and night.

We encourage our residents to continue their normal routine day as at home and those who need assistance with feeding are attended to discreetly.


Trained staff provide 24 hour care and residents are encouraged to meet their own levels of independence. Intervention is only at their request or when their personal safety is at risk.

The professionalism of our trained staff is paramount and they achieve high standards of care by using a relaxed approach to individual problems and encourage families to take an active part in that care.

Day to day caring and support by our Social Care Workers and Ancillary staff is carefully supervised to a high standard and the Directors are dedicated to the training of all staff to ensure these high standards are continued by taking full advantage of NVQ opportunities that are available. The coveted “Investors In People” award is held by our Company.

Medical supervision is continued as at home by the resident’s own G.P. - who visits by request.

A good working relationship has been established with all of the local surgeries and a high level of healthcare is the ‘norm.

Access to all community services is as required and by arrangement. This includes local Dental, Chiropody, Optician, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy with Home visits undertaken as advised by them.
Out-patient referals and hospital visits are always escorted and liaison letters giving up to date medical information provided where relevant.

Records are maintained daily to ensure continuity of individual patient care with special attention to each person’s right to choose the level of that care.

Visiting Clergy are made welcome and Services of Holy Communion etc. are on a regular basis.

Visits to local shops, local events and day trips plus visiting entertainers are now a routine and are financed by the Residents’ Fund.  There is also an 'in-house'  activities coordinator.

Families are welcome to attend these events and participate in fund raising.
