INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGES.

The exchange programme has been running for 7 years now and between 150 to 200 young people have benefited from it. The link is between Seaham Youth Club and their German counterparts 'B15' from Gerlingen.
The young people who have been on these exchanges are normally aged from 15 to 21. The main purpose for these links and visits is the cultural aspect, " learning new cultures and seeing different ideas and practices". It is also about forming new friendships.
During the trips visits are arranged and these have included a trip to the Nissan car factory, the Euro. building in Strasbourg and a trip down an old pit in East Durham.
