SEAHAM IS OUR PATCH First Responders
is a recent idea which is intended to get help, as quickly as possible, to
people who find themselves in emergency situations.
SEAHAM has it's own fully trained and ready-for-action team who are already active in your town and your neighbourhood. The Team are all volunteers - they give freely of their time and don't receive payment - but they are well trained by the Northumbria Ambulance Service. In an emergency they work closely with the Ambulance teams and other emergency services to achieve the best outcomes for those at risk. In a medical emergency (eg heart attack or accident) the First Responders may be first to the scene of an emergency in Seaham because they live in the town and are close to your neighbourhood. Their job is: 1) to PRESERVE LIFE 2) to PREVENT A MEDICAL CONDITION FROM WORSENING 3) to PROMOTE RECOVERY of the patient. |
