MEDICAL TEAM We are
a two-doctor medical practice with a male and a female GP.
Dr
Kulbushan Kapoor qualified in Agra University in India and after doing post
graduation in radiotherapy, moved to Northern Ireland and worked in Cardiology
before becoming a GP. He moved to Seaham in 1976 and joined Drs Weir, Anderson and Hydari as a partner. His professional interests include cardiology, respiratory diseases and gastroenterology. He is included in the obstetric, child health surveillance and family planning lists. He is also a member of the GPs in Asthma Group. Dr Asha Kapoor graduated from Kanpur University in India, she moved to England and underwent training in General Practice in Northern Ireland. She then obtained postgraduate qualifications in obstetrics and gynaecology from Dublin and London Universities, to practice as a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology. She gained a great deal of experience in child medicine, working as a clinical medical officer in child health for three years. The job also included specialised training in family planning. Her professional interests are dealing with ‘womens problems’ especially the menopause, infertility, family planning and maternity care. Dr Asha Kapoor has been heavily involved in Easington PCT (formerly PCG). She was a founder member of the PCG Board, former lead of the prescribing sub-committee and former joint clinical governance lead. |
