The receptionists have an important job and endeavour to
deal with your queries, appointments, repeat prescriptions etc. as efficiently
as possible. They have enquiries and calls coming from every direction,
so please be a patient patient.
When telephoning for medication attention, the receptionists may ask for
a few details. They have been trained to make these enquiries in order
that we can help you in the most appropriate way.
PRACTICE NURSE
The Practice Nurse is responsible for Diabetic Asthma, Coronary
Heart Disease care, carrying out smear tests, contraceptive checks
and other routine nursing duties.

The Health Visitor provides expert advice and support predominantly to
families with children under five years old, but can also be involved with
other patients, e.g. the handicapped, elderly etc.

The CPN can help you with anxiety, depression and other similar
problems.
SCHOOL NURSE
The school nurse can give
expert advice for children of school age.
THE HEALTH CARE TEAM

The Phlebotomist holds clinics at the surgery and is involved in taking
blood tests, blood pressures and carrying out ECGs.
Practice Counsellor – James Cook
If you are troubled by anxiety, depression, stress, relationship, drug,
alcohol or bereavement problems and would like to discuss these with the Practice
Counsellor, this can be arranged by our Receptionist.
Macmillan Nurse
The Macmillan nurse visits and cares for cancer patients
in their homes and gives advice and support to their families.
